RTC Casual Physiotherapist / Sports Therapist
We are on the search for a motivated and highly organised qualified physiotherapist or Sports Therapist to provide a best in class physiotherapy service for the player at LFC Women`s Academy on an ad hoc casual basis. This is an integral role ensuring the health and fitness of the academy players whilst creating an ethos which promotes high aspirations and achievement for all.
What does this role involve?
On a day to day basis your role will involve:
-Ensuring the health of all players
-Provision of pitch side emergency first aid and physiotherapy care to players
-Participate in the delivery of treatment and rehabilitation for injured players
-To follow and support the guidelines and procedures within the club`s Safeguarding Policy
-Provide medical care on all aspects of players health to include; prescribing medication, obtaining specialist opinions where appropriate, coordinating investigations and operative procedures, as required
-Diagnose and establish treatment/ rehabilitation plans for nominated players
-Implement preventative strategies including vaccinations
-Liaise with football management staff in order to optimise player performance and overall health
-Carry out and oversee all investigations as required
-Collaborate with specialists to ensure that appropriate treatment decisions are made, if requested
-Maintain contemporaneous medical notes to an excellent standard on the WPS (Women`s Performance System)
-Ensure high levels of professionalism and patient confidentiality

Who are we looking for?

-The person we are looking for is an excellent communicator and has a natural ability to act as a role model to others.
-You will have previous professional experience in a sports performance environment and will understand the pressures and commitments required for players. You will be empathetic and understand support strategies for the player emotional needs. You`re a team player and contribute to a positive working environment for you and your colleagues, even when working under pressure.
-To work in this role it is essential that you are able to provide evidence of
-Chartered HCPC registered Physiotherapist
-The FA Level 2 Emergency First Aid in Football (EFAiF)

We`re looking for somebody who has The FA Level 5 Advanced Trauma Medical Management in Football (ATMMiF)

This role will require an enhanced DBS check which will be applied for by the Club.

This role is on a casual contract and will offer ad hoc hours which will be based around the football fixtures and training schedules. We therefore need somebody who can be flexible with their time and is happy to work evenings and weekends. There will be some travel included but your main base will be at the Academy in Kirkby, Liverpool.
