LFC Foundation is the official charity of Liverpool Football Club. We raise funds, develop partnerships and deliver high impact programmes that engage young people through their passion for Liverpool Football Club, helping them improve their health, skills and life chances.

We`re proud of our work to date, engaging thousands of children and young people each year, however we have ambitious plans for the future. We`re hiring a Marketing Coordinator to help us with achieving our vision to be the leading football foundation that transforms the lives of young people.

What does this role involve?

The LFC Foundation Marketing Coordinator will be responsible for providing marketing support to ensure the successful delivery of the charity`s #iwill, social action and community programmes.

On a day to basis you will:

Support implementation of the Foundation`s annual community delivery marketing plan to achieve programmatic objectives.

Work closely with the Foundation`s programme managers and community teams to ensure marketing needs are understood, agreed, and are delivered on time and within budget.

Track campaign progress and give timely feedback and recommendations to optimise activity.

Support cross team working ensuring #iwill and other social action activities are complementary and aligned.

Work closely with the Foundation`s Digital Marketing Specialist to ensure social media and content marketing opportunities are planned, coordinated, and maximised.

Work with the Club`s PR team to maximise media opportunities and exposure of #iwill and social action community delivery.

Brief and coordinate the design and production of marketing materials, campaign assets, programme content ensuring they are on-brand and meet contractual requirements.

Identify national social action campaigns and promotions to engage with, with the aim of increasing awareness and understanding of this USP.

Provide operational support at key Foundation events and celebrations.

Ensure all marketing activity is compliant with national/international legislation as required to protect the charity and minimise risk.

Provide reports and statistical data to support reporting and evaluation and to drive business growth.

Who are we looking for?

We`re looking for somebody who has good creative thinking skills and an innovative approach to marketing and communications. You will need to be able to utilise different digital touch points to meet marketing objectives, and demonstrate a good knowledge and understanding of marketing and communications within the non-profit sector. You will have an awareness of on & offline marketing techniques, will understand marketing / advertising codes of practice, and will be familiar with the new GDPR data requirements. You will understand how to manage internal and external brand identities and have a sound understanding of best practice in digital content including video and multimedia assets. You will have sound knowledge of the LFC Foundation and its parent company, Liverpool Football Club.

You will be perfect for this role if you hold a qualification in Marketing and / or communications; and have experience of marketing / communications roles within both commercial and non-profit sectors. You will have great copywriting and proof reading skills with a keen eye for detail.

To make this a success you will need to have strong team working and project management skills with experience of running multi-channel and multi-stakeholder campaigns.

This is a full-time, 12-month Fixed Term Contract role working 35 hours per week Monday to Friday although some weekend and evening work will be required. You will be primarily based in Chapel Street, however, you may need to visit our Foundation Offices in Anfield (ASCC) from time to time.
