We currently have an exciting research opprtunity available for an individual who wishes to study towards a PhD in Sports Medicine, working very closely with the Club Doctor and other medical staff.

Opportunity

If successful you will have the opportunity to

Carry out academic research in the area of Sports/Football Medicine.

In addition to your research you will you will assist in medical activities within the Medical department, gathering data that will form part of your PhD or support other research ongoing within the department.

Supervise the Sport and Medical students on placement with the Club (If related to your area of research)

Assist in the internal and external services of the department if required and co-write applications for funding.

Person

To be eligible for this opportunity you will need to have:-

-a medical degree
-masters qualification and
-full registration with the General Medical council
-a passion and desire to work in the field of Sports/football medicine
-three years of medical experience in a Sporting environment under your belt.

We would particularly like to hear from people who also have

-previous experience of working within elite sport
-already conducted research within the sports/football medicine field.

It`s also a very important that you are a good team player and that you can be very flexible with your time.


Terms and Conditions

This research opportunity will be for a one year duration starting on 1st August 2019 and will be in conjunction with The University of Ghent. Based at our Training Ground in Liverpool, you will receive a competitive salary in addition to other incredible Club benefits.
